Saturday 24 August: book signing event in Revel

Revel’s Saturday market is one of the busiest weekly events in the Lauragais, and it is the main reason the town has spent over a decade in the Michelin guide to ‘Les 100 Plus Beaux Détours de France’. 

​Next Saturday 24 August, for one morning only, there will be an extra attraction: call in at the tourist office in the centre of town and meet the author of ‘Lauragais: Steeped in History, Soaked in Blood’.

As well as signing copies of my book, I shall be delighted to discuss how the history of our region has inspired my work, or how this year's heatwave has affected the price of tomatoes.

The picture shows an impromptu rehearsal outside Le Centre at this morning’s market. The photographer bought two copies as well – he’s a lovely man, Jean-Yves!​
