Sunday prize giving at Château Portos, Cahuzac

On Sunday, I finally caught up with the winner of my 'Lauragais' photo competition.

In the splendid setting of his front garden, I presented Stijn van Hoecke with his certificate and prize for the winning entry, 'Lauragais on the Beach'.

Afterwards, we took tea in one of the château's holiday homes  - the main building may look beautiful from the outside, but Stijn and his partner Yves are hard at work renovating the interior, and we were far more comfortable in the sunshine by the coach house swimming pool.
